Encounter PREMIERE Sept 12th, 2020-2021:
Encounter looks at the winding path that an individual takes to find their inner self, balanced, at peace and in harmony with their environment. In a society where everything is going fast, constantly changing, the notion of personal balance, in essence, is perpetually unstable and uncertain.
Encounter digs into the changing, redundant and endless aspect of this difficult quest where nothing is acquired and everything remains to be learned, unlearned, relearned, discovered, rediscovered.
How to get rid of the weight of certain societal, cultural, family baggage to meet our true "self", our true Nature in its raw state, without received filters? This danced solo plunges us into the heart of a spiritual journey where an encounter with the body-mind-soul triad leads to a transformation where everything finds its place in harmony.

The stage space is organized around 3 stones symbolizing Body, Soul and Spirit. Emmanuelle explores the interrelation of these 3 spheres when it comes to a search for identity balance.
How does our “plastic canvas” pollute them?
The choreographic gestures are based on the finger sign “Peace&Love” which nourishes his reflection on the concepts of love and peace conveyed societally.
Encounter builds a bridge between the everyday and the sacred: Questioning our learned rituals through a reappropriation of our soul, body and spirit.
